Important Letter about the Reverse Raffle Dinner on February 20

Dear Assumption Parishioners,

The two most important financial sources that help cover our operating costs at the Assumption Church are your stewardship contributions and our four annual fundraisers. In the middle of each season of every year, our church holds a major fundraiser. They are the Reverse Raffle Dinner (winter), the Giant Garage Sale (spring), the Greek Festival (summer), and the Golf Outing (fall). Your stewardship and those fundraisers support our church and its ministries.

Our winter fundraiser is less than one month away, Thursday, February 20, 2025. This exciting and fun event begins at 6 p.m., and we would like to have all our parishioners participate by purchasing a ticket and/or donating a prize that we gift to every tenth person whose name is drawn. The price for the raffle ticket and gourmet dinner is $150 or $100 for a raffle ticket only for those unable to attend. Attendees who purchase a $150 raffle ticket may also purchase a dinner-only ticket for $60 for their guest. As of January 27, we have sold 209 raffle tickets. Only 500 raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win the Grand Prize of $5,000!

If we sell all 500 tickets, in addition to the chance to win the $5,000 Grand Prize, we will also give 13 $100 cash prizes and 38 gift-card prizes to every tenth person whose raffle ticket number is drawn. So, besides having a wonderful time and eating a gourmet meal with an open bar, there are over 50 chances to win something!

Here’s how you can help make the evening a success and support our Assumption Church:

1.   Buy and help us sell Reverse Raffle tickets.

2.   Donate gift cards (e.g., gift cards from your favorite restaurants, tickets to sporting events, Amazon gift cards, retail store gift cards, etc.).

Drop off your gift cards at the church office Monday through Friday during office hours or Sunday after church.
